1. Overview

ScopeFocus is a cognitive training and self-assessment tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

3. How Data Is Stored

• check_circleLocal storage (primary) — all game data lives on your device in the browser. No one else can access it unless you share your device.
• check_circleTurso database (optional sync) — game results may be synced to an edge-replicated database for persistence across sessions.

4. What We Do NOT Do

5. Analytics We Run

Three measurement tools run on the live site. None of them receives your game results, your profile, or anything you type. We use them to find the screens people get stuck on, not to identify anyone.

• check_circleVercel Web Analytics — counts page views in aggregate and sets no cookies
• check_circleVercel Speed Insights — measures how fast pages load and render
• check_circleMicrosoft Clarity — shows where people tap and scroll, and can replay on-screen interaction, so we can see which screens are confusing. Text masking is on, so typed content such as names is hidden before anything leaves your browser. It sets a cookie so a continuing visit counts as one session rather than several. This one stays off until you say yes, and the switch below turns it off again at any time.

6. AI Report Generation

When you generate an AI expert report, your cognitive profile data is sent to Google Gemini via the @google/genai SDK. This data is processed to generate the report and is not stored by Google beyond their standard API processing. You can use "Sample" mode to generate reports without sending any data to external APIs.

7. Data Retention

Data stored in your browser persists until you clear it. Turso database records are retained until you request deletion. We do not automatically purge data.

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

ScopeFocus offers a child-appropriate mode with simplified games. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. All profile data is optional. Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the application. The interface analytics in section 5 can replay on-screen interaction, which is why they stay off unless someone allows them, and why they can be switched off again at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of ScopeFocus after changes constitutes acceptance.
